Validity and Renewal for PSARA License

The validity of a PSARA license is five years in most states, except Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand, where the validity extends up to 1 year only. To renew the license, a renewal application must be filed 45 days before the license's expiry date.

Documents Required for Renewal

• A copy of the existing license
• A certificate from the police stating that the agency has not been involved in any criminal activity
• A certificate from the fire department stating that the agency's premises are in compliance with fire safety regulations
• A certificate from the labour department stating that the agency is in compliance with labour laws

The licensing authority will process the renewal application, and a decision will be made within 30 days. If the application is approved, the renewed license will be issued.
